The 2024 Learn to Play Hockey session is for youth age 18 and under who know how to skate unassisted and have not played in a regular hockey season.

Required Equipment

Hockey skates are available at the recreation center if you do not have your own.  Hockey shin/knee pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, and helmet/facemask are required.  This equipment is available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.  You will be able to request this equipment during registration.

Participants will need a hockey stick, and we encourage players to purchase their own so they can practice at home.  We will have a limited number of flat-blade beginner sticks available that are suitable for  younger players.
